Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking an entry-level Backend Engineer in Singapore to design and optimize digital banking backend services and platforms. You will work on server-side architecture for high-performance, secure, and scalable distributed systems, collaborating with Product Managers and cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes; knowledge of Go/Java/Python/C++, databases like MySQL, and middleware such as Redis and Kafka.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, Data Science or related field.
• Core CS principles: Data Structures, Algorithms, Networks, Operating Systems.
• Proficiency in at least one backend language: Go, Java, Python, or C/C++.
• Experience with databases (MySQL) and middleware (Redis, Kafka, microservices/K8s).
• Knowledge of design patterns, distributed systems, high concurrency, caching, and performance tuning.
• Interest in AI, willingness to explore LLMs, Agent frameworks, and Prompt Engineering.
• Strong logical thinking, analytical skills, rapid learning, and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design, development, and optimization of digital banking backend services and platforms.
• Contribute to server-side architecture for high-performance, secure, and scalable distributed systems.
• Translate business needs into technical designs and scalable features with cross-functional teams.
• Optimize system performance, stability, resources, and user experience for high-concurrency scenarios.
• Develop internal developer tools, automation scripts, and workflows to boost R&D efficiency and quality.
• Explore emerging AI technologies and their applications in banking scenarios and R&D practices.
• Leverage AI-assisted coding techniques to streamline coding, testing, and delivery processes.
