Job summary

NRMF Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Junior Application Engineer to begin a career in Building Management Systems (BMS). You will learn through guidance from experienced engineers and practical project work, developing skills in programming, graphics, configuration and commissioning.

You will progressively take on more responsibility while supporting engineers on site and at project locations. Fresh graduates are welcome and on-the-job training is provided, with paid overtime as applicable.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related discipline.
• Basic understanding of electrical circuits and control principles.
• Comfortable with computers and Microsoft Office; interest in programming.
• Willingness to learn, detail-oriented and responsible.
• Ability to communicate clearly with colleagues and site teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist with BMS graphics development, point configuration and system database setup.
• Learn to develop and modify DDC/PLC control programs for ACMV systems including AHUs, FCUs and chiller plant equipment.
• Assist with controller and field-device configuration, communication checks and system integration.
• Carry out on-site point-to-point checks, functional testing and commissioning under supervision.
• Support troubleshooting of control systems, sensors, equipment signals and communication issues.
• Prepare and update point schedules, test records, technical documents and operation manuals.
• Coordinate with application engineers and site teams to complete project tasks.

Basic salary: S$3,000-4,000 per month, depending on relevant skills and experience
Working hours: 5-day work week, 9am-6pm | Location: Singapore

About the Role

Start your engineering career in Building Management Systems (BMS). Join our existing application engineering team and learn through guidance from experienced engineers and practical project work. You will develop skills in programming, graphics, system configuration and commissioning, progressively taking on more responsibility. Prior BMS work experience is not required.

What You Will Do

• Assist with BMS graphics development, point configuration and system database setup.
• Learn to develop and modify DDC/PLC control programs for air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation (ACMV) systems, including AHUs, FCUs and chiller plant equipment.
• Assist with controller and field-device configuration, communication checks and system integration.
• Carry out on-site point-to-point checks, functional testing and commissioning under the guidance of experienced engineers.
• Support troubleshooting of control systems, sensors, equipment signals and communication issues.
• Prepare and update point schedules, test records, technical documents and operation and maintenance manuals.
• Work with application engineers and site teams to complete assigned tasks according to project requirements.

What We Look For

• Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Automation & Control, Mechatronics, Building Services or a related discipline.
• Basic understanding of electrical circuits and control principles.
• Comfortable using computers and Microsoft Office, with an interest in programming and troubleshooting.
• Willingness to learn, attention to detail and a responsible approach to work.
• Ability to communicate clearly with colleagues and site teams.
• Willingness to work at project sites and support evening or weekend commissioning when required. Overtime will be paid.

Exposure to PLC programming, AutoCAD, computer networking or HVAC systems through coursework, internships or previous work is an advantage, but is not essential.
