• Degree or Diploma in Electrical/Building Services engineering.
• 2–4 years of BMS/BAS/controls experience in M&E projects.
• Knowledge of BACnet/Modbus/LonWorks/KNX is a plus.
• Able to read electrical drawings and control schematics.
• Experience coordinating with stakeholders and meeting deadlines.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and engineering software.

About the client

Our client is a well-established engineering contractor with over 40 years of experience in Singapore, delivering complex M&E, building services, and infrastructure projects across a diverse range of sectors.

The role

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the delivery of Building Management System (BMS) / Building Automation System (BAS) works for building services projects, including technical coordination, site installation supervision, testing and commissioning of BMS electrical and controls systems, while ensuring compliance with project requirements, safety standards and quality standards.

Salary: $4,000 - $6,000 + VB
Working hours: MON- FRI Office hours
HQ Location: Commonwealth, Singapore

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the planning, coordination and execution of BMS electrical and controls works.

• Review project drawings, specifications, control schematics, points schedules and technical documents.

• Coordinate with consultants, clients, main contractors, subcontractors, vendors and internal project teams.

• Support BMS system design coordination, including DDC panels, field devices, sensors, actuators, cabling and control interfaces.

• Coordinate BMS integration with ACMV, electrical, fire alarm, security, ELV and other building services systems.

• Supervise site installation works and ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.

• Monitor site progress, manpower deployment, material delivery and installation quality.

• Prepare and submit technical documents, shop drawings, material submissions, method statements and inspection requests.

• Support testing and commissioning activities, including point-to-point testing, functional testing, system integration testing and troubleshooting.

• Assist in identifying and resolving technical issues, site coordination problems and interface matters.

• Ensure proper documentation of testing records, inspection reports, as-built drawings and operation manuals.

• Ensure compliance with workplace safety requirements, company procedures and project quality standards.

• Provide technical support to supervisors, technicians and subcontractors during project execution.
  

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Building Services Engineering or related discipline.

• Minimum 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in BMS / BAS / controls systems or M&E building services In LTA projects

• Good knowledge of BMS controls, DDC panels, field devices, control wiring, sensors, actuators and system integration.

• Familiar with communication protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, KNX or equivalent will be an advantage.

• Able to read and interpret electrical drawings, control schematics, points lists and technical specifications.

• Understanding of ACMV systems and their control requirements will be an advantage.

• Experience in commercial, infrastructure, industrial, healthcare or institutional building projects will be preferred.

• Able to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and work under project deadlines.

• Good problem-solving, communication and documentation skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant engineering software.
