Job summary

WECRUIT PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an Accounting Assistant to support daily AP/AR, invoicing, and reconciliations.

You will check supplier invoices, prepare payments, issue customer invoices and monitor incoming payments, while maintaining accurate records in Xero. The role involves assisting with month-end closing, journal entries, and audits, with liaison to suppliers, customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of Xero is an advantage; training will be provided.
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions.
• Check supplier invoices and supporting documents before processing payments.
• Prepare payment vouchers, bank transfers and staff reimbursements.
• Issue customer invoices and credit notes, and monitor incoming payments.
• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate accounting records.
• Record and update financial transactions using Xero.
• Assist with month-end closing, journal entries and account schedules.
• Prepare supporting documents for audits and financial reporting.
• Liaise with suppliers, customers and internal departments on accounting matters.
• Maintain organised financial records and perform other accounting duties as assigned.
