Job summary

Sinco Automation (S) Pte Ltd is seeking a highly motivated Marine Automation Engineer to join our growing marine engineering team. This role focuses on installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, calibration, maintenance, and repair of automation systems onboard vessels and offshore assets.

The ideal candidate has a background in vessel automation, electrical, pneumatic controls, and instrumentation, with at least 3 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Marine Engineering, Mechatronics, or Instrumentation.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in marine automation, offshore, shipyard, or vessel maintenance.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication skills in English (spoken and written).
• Possession of a valid Class 3 driving licence is advantageous but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair marine automation systems onboard vessels.
• Commission and calibrate automation and instrumentation systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic control systems.
• Troubleshoot PLC-based control systems, sensors, transmitters, actuators, and control panels.
• Service vessel alarm, monitoring, control, and safety systems.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Prepare technical reports, service reports, calibration certificates, and commissioning documentation.
• Liaise professionally with shipowners, shipyards, classification societies, and equipment manufacturers.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company procedures, safety regulations, and customer requirements.
• Travel locally and overseas when required to support vessel operations.

We are seeking a highly motivated Marine Automation Engineer to join our growing marine engineering team. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with a strong background in vessel automation, electrical systems, pneumatic controls, and electronic instrumentation. You will be responsible for supporting installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, calibration, maintenance, and repair of automation systems onboard vessels and offshore assets.

Requirements
