Job summary

Chris-Marine Singapore Pte Ltd, based in Singapore, is seeking a Marine/Onboard Technician to join its service team. The role is stationed in Singapore, with proactive work at our Jurong Workshop and servicing Asia Region customers including ships, workshops, power plants and shipyards.

We offer a secure, permanent position with intensive training by an experienced team and colleagues from around the world.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience for Marine / Onboard Technician or relevant.
• Mechatronics knowledge: understand mechanical drawings, electric wiring diagrams, use of multimeter, sensors, basic electronics (PCB).
• Basic knowledge about BUS protocols (RS485, Modbus RTU, CAN) is a plus.
• General understanding of electrical systems on ships.
• Basic experience in service of marine automation or navigation electronics is a plus.
• Operating with heavy duty machines (honing, grinding, measuring) in workshop or on board vessels, overseas duties.

About the position:

Our customers, marine workshops, onboard ships, power plants and at shipyards in our Asia Region (Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan, Philippines, Australia, etc) .

Requirement:

• At Least 01 year Experience for Marine / Onboard Technician or relevant.

Mechatronics Knowledge (Either of the below)

• Able to understand mechanical drawings, electric wiring diagrams, using multi-meter, sensors and basic electronics(PCB).
• Basic User knowledge about BUS (RUS485, Modbus ETU, CAN) is a PLUS.

• General understanding with electricity on a ship
• Basic experience in service of related marine automation or navigation electronics(PLUS)

Mechanical Knowledge (Either of the above)

• Operating with heavy duties machines (honing, grinding, measuring) in workshop and onboard vessels, overseas jobs.
