Job summary

NACOS Marine is seeking a technically skilled Service Engineer (m/f/d) to join our field service team in Singapore. You will provide on-site technical support for marine automation systems, including repair, installation, troubleshooting, and system upgrades, while working onboard vessels at terminals, anchorages, and shipyards.

This hands-on role requires solid electrical and automation experience and comfort operating in multicultural environments.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in marine automation, electrical, or control systems.
• Solid understanding of automation processes and PLC systems (e.g., WAGO, Siemens, Mitsubishi).
• Familiarity with industrial protocols (Modbus, CAN Bus) and network components (Moxa).
• Experience with automation hardware/software, alarm monitoring, and engine governor or maneuvering systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and good English communication.

Responsibilities

• Attend vessels at terminal, anchorage, or shipyard locations for repair, installation, commissioning tasks.
• Perform fault diagnosis and resolve reported technical issues in a systematic manner.
• Ensure proper documentation and reporting per procedures (software/database updates, service reports).
• Submit accurate technical and service work reports within deadlines.
• Provide technical support to the service coordination team for job planning and follow-up.
• Work in compliance with QEHS guidelines and customer procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

Key Requirements
