Job summary

Unison Group in Singapore is seeking a Java/J2EE Application Support Engineer to join the application support team. You will provide L1/L2 support for Java/J2EE enterprise applications and monitor web applications, batch jobs, and system processes.

The role requires hands-on experience with Java/J2EE, Unix/Linux, SQL, and JBOSS/MariaDB, plus the ability to troubleshoot using logs and queries. Night shifts and 24x7 coverage are expected in a shift-based environment.

Qualifications

1 year of application support experience.
Hands-on Java/J2EE development and/or support background.
Proficient in Unix/Linux commands and SQL data troubleshooting.
Experience with web applications, batch jobs, and middleware components.

Responsibilities

Provide L1/L2 application support for Java/J2EE-based enterprise applications.
Monitor applications, batch jobs, interfaces, and system processes.
Analyze and troubleshoot issues using Java logs, Unix/Linux commands, and SQL queries.
Perform incident investigation, root-cause analysis, and resolution within SLAs.
Support web applications and batch processing environments.
Coordinate with development, infrastructure, database, middleware, and business teams to resolve production issues.
Follow ITIL processes and maintain incident/problem documentation.
Participate in deployments, production releases, and post-release validation.
