Job summary

EXASOFT CONSULTING PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced Senior Java Backend Engineer to design, develop and maintain scalable enterprise-grade applications.

You will build robust APIs, implement event-driven patterns with Kafka, and craft workflow-driven solutions using Flowable and State Machines. Key focus areas include building secure services with Spring Security, OAuth and JWT, and deploying distributed apps in Docker/Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Java-based enterprise application development.
• Mandatory experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven/asynchronous application development.
• Mandatory hands-on experience with Flowable Workflow Management and State Machine Workflow.
• Strong experience with Spring Security, OAuth, and JWT.
• Experience in REST APIs, SOAP, GraphQL, and OpenAPI.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes in enterprise application environments.
• Experience in Spring Cloud, JPA/Hibernate, and enterprise Java/Jakarta EE.
• Experience with messaging technologies such as JMS or RabbitMQ is preferred.
• Strong database experience with Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL, or MongoDB.
• Experience in design patterns, object-oriented programming, TDD/BDD, and automated testing.
• Experience with Jenkins/GitLab CI/CD, Maven/Gradle, SonarQube, and Git-based development workflows is preferred.
• Experience developing high-availability, high-volume enterprise applications, preferably within banking, financial services, or other transaction-intensive environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, system-design, code-review, and technical collaboration skills.
