Job summary

EVYONIC Solutions Pte. Ltd. in Singapore seeks a senior Java Architect to lead design, development and delivery of scalable enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.

You will steer microservices modernization, implement RESTful APIs, and craft event-driven flows with Kafka, while guiding teams and collaborating with frontend developers.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of architecture development and backend systems integration experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.


• Design and implement microservices-based architectures and modernize legacy monolithic applications into scalable distributed services.


• Develop and integrate high-performance RESTful APIs for enterprise and banking applications.


• Design event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka for asynchronous communication and distributed application workflows.


• Implement application security using Spring Security, OAuth, JWT, SSO, and role-based access control (RBAC).


• Lead technical design activities including high-level and low-level architecture, component design, API integration, deployment, and data-flow design.


• Collaborate with frontend teams to integrate backend services with ReactJS and Angular applications.


• Work with relational and NoSQL databases and contribute to schema design and query optimization.


• Drive application performance, scalability, reliability, maintainability, and troubleshooting of complex production issues.


• Lead and mentor development teams, conduct code reviews, and establish development best practices.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated enterprise solutions and resolve complex technical issues.


• Support containerized and enterprise application environments using Docker and OpenShift.

Requirements

• Minimum 7+ years of technical experience, with strong hands‑on experience in architecture development, backend system integration, and application development.


• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, RESTful APIs, and Apache Kafka, with proven experience designing scalable enterprise architectures and leading technical teams.


• Strong hands‑on experience in Java and enterprise application development.


• Strong experience in Spring Boot and Microservices architecture.


• Mandatory hands‑on experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architecture.


• Strong experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs.


• Mandatory experience with Spring Security, OAuth2, and JWT.


• Experience in SSO/RBAC is required.


• Hands‑on experience with ReactJS and/or Angular; candidates with exposure to both are preferred.


• Strong experience with JavaScript and TypeScript.


• Experience with Spring Cloud and distributed application architecture.


• Strong database experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MongoDB, including schema design and query optimization.


• Experience with Docker and OpenShift in enterprise application environments.


• Experience in GraphQL, Swagger/OpenAPI, WebSockets, or messaging technologies is preferred.


• Experience in Domain‑Driven Design (DDD) and event-driven design is preferred.


• Experience with caching technologies such as Redis, Ehcache, or Memcached is an advantage.


• Proven experience leading technical teams, mentoring developers, conducting code reviews, and driving technical delivery.


• Experience with system architecture, performance optimization, debugging, and software development best practices.
