Job summary

EXASOFT CONSULTING PTE. LTD. seeks a senior backend engineer to lead the design and development of enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices. You will ensure high performance, scalability, and maintainability in cloud environments.

You will build RESTful APIs, enable secure communication between systems, and implement Kafka-driven event integrations. You will containerize with Docker/Kubernetes, deploy on AWS/Azure, and drive CI/CD while mentoring junior developers.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software development, backend engineering, and enterprise app integration.

• Proven experience designing and developing microservices and distributed systems.
• Experience in RESTful API development, integration, and service‑oriented architecture.
• Experience in oriented programming, design patterns, clean code, and application architecture.
• Practical experience with Hibernate/JPA and relational database technologies such as PostgreSQL or MariaDB.
• Hands‑on experience with Apache Kafka and event‑driven architecture.
• Experience deploying applications on AWS and Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
• Experience with Spring Cloud and API documentation using OpenAPI.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD and build tools such as Maven.
• Experience in OAuth , secure coding practices, OWASP guidelines, and PCI‑related security standards.
• Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and test‑driven development.
• Experience in React and frontend‑backend integration.
• Experience with application performance optimization, scalability, reliability, and production support.
• Strong technical leadership, analytical thinking, problem‑solving, and team collaboration skills.
• Certification in Java programming is preferred.
