UNIZEN TECHNOLOGIES PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an experienced Backend Engineer with strong Java and Hadoop expertise to support a Hadoop data layer modernization initiative.

You will work on backend enhancements, platform migration activities, testing support, troubleshooting, and production stabilization within a distributed data processing environment. You will develop Java backend services, APIs, and integration components, perform unit and integration testing, diagnose performance

Qualifications

Strong Java backend development required.
Hadoop ecosystem knowledge (HDFS) needed.
Experience with distributed data platforms and large-scale apps.
Spring Boot / Spring Framework proficiency.
REST API development experience.
Linux/Shell scripting essential.
Git, Bitbucket, Jira experience.
Troubleshooting, performance tuning, production support.

Responsibilities

Develop Java backend services and APIs; integrate components.
Perform unit, integration, and system testing; ensure quality.
Troubleshoot defects, performance issues, and deployment challenges.
Support deployment activities and post-implementation stabilization.
Create and maintain technical documentation and artifacts.
Collaborate with development, QA, infra, and architecture teams.
