Job summary

re-zoo-me is seeking an experienced Incident Engineer to handle end-to-end incident tickets, diagnose complex application issues, and perform root cause analyses. You will document resolutions, collaborate with Dev and Infra teams, and support testing and production deployments in a fast-paced, 24x7 environment.

The role requires 5+ years in Java/Kotlin/J2EE, with strong Linux, cloud services (AWS), and container orchestration knowledge. Proactive problem-solving and documentation are essential.

Qualifications

• Technically with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in Java, Kotlin, J2EE/JEE, MySQL, Oracle, SQL/PLSQL, Jasper report, APIs (RESTful and SOAP) and/or XML
• Understanding of Linux OS such as RHEL and Unix shell scripting
• Experience in AWS services (CloudWatch, KMS, S3, RDS, EKS, ec2, ALB, Api Gateway)
• Knowledge of Cryptographic concepts like Encryption Keys and SSL certificates is a plus
• Understanding the micro services architecture & containers & orchestration services like Kubernetes and Docker
• Cloud-based architecture and DevSecOps technologies are a plus
• Experience in Spring 4.x / 5.x / 6.x and Struts 2.x frameworks, Spring Boot and/or Spring Batch, Spring Integration would be added advantage
• Ability to work under pressure and to handle tight SLAs

Responsibilities

• Primary responsible to handle all Incident tickets that are raised, till to closure
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve application-related issues reported by Users, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on productivity
• To conduct root cause analysis of an issue and post-mortem to identify and prevent the same issue happening in future
• Documenting the solutions and workarounds for future reference
• Collaborate with various teams, including Developers and Infrastructure teams to resolve complex issues and implement long-term solutions
• Assist in Operational tasks such as day-to-day support
• Escalate critical and unresolved issues to higher level support teams and actively follow up on the progress until the problem is resolved
• Report status and progress to technical lead/manager on a regular basis
• Work with the technical lead to ensure the technical support provided to users/testers is within the agreed SLA (24 x 7)
• Maintain a positive mindset to provide continuous support and the application of tools for monitoring, management and optimization of support
• Participate in enhancement of the applications (including documentation and testing)
• Present and provide regular updates on work matters to team and users / customers
• Prepare/ update the relevant documentation related to the project / change appropriately
• Support application testing investigations in testing environments
• Support annual industry testing, testing regulatory requirements, VAPT, APT, APIPT in testing environments and production environments
• Assist in deploying applications to testing and production environments
