Job summary

XG Tech PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an IT Systems and Desktop Operations Engineer to support end-user computing and maintain Windows and Linux servers, networks, and virtualization environments.

You will handle troubleshooting, system maintenance, and infrastructure support to ensure stable IT operations across the organization. Work involves desktop IT support, server administration, and basic networking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
• Hands-on experience in desktop support and server operations.
• Knowledge of NP/CCNP-level networking.
• Proficiency in Windows and Linux systems; virtualization understanding.
• Strong communication and service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide desktop IT support for employees, including system installation, troubleshooting software and hardware issues, configuring office peripherals, and managing user accounts and access permissions.
• Operate and maintain Windows/Linux physical and virtual servers, including deployment, routine inspections, patch updates, data backup, and emergency incident handling.
• Troubleshoot network issues and perform basic configuration of routing and switching devices; requires NP-level networking knowledge.
• Manage IT assets and maintain operation logs and incident reports; implement standardized IT operations procedures.
• Support R&D teams in building development environments; familiar with mainstream virtualization setup, daily maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with internal teams and local vendors to ensure stable operation of IT systems.

How you will stand out

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields
• Solid hands-on experience in desktop support and server operations
• Knowledge of NP/CCNP-level networking, familiar with VLANs, routing & switching, and basic firewall operations
• Proficient in Windows and Linux systems; understanding of mainstream virtualization technologies
• Experience in cluster maintenance is an advantage
• Good communication skills, strong service mindset, and ability to independently handle various IT issues
