Job summary

GMP Technologies in Singapore is seeking an IT Infrastructure Specialist (Permanent) to maintain customer internal systems and servers, coordinate with vendors, and enhance operational efficiency.

The role requires Windows server build/deploy, VMware vCenter/ESXi expertise, scripting with PowerShell and Python, and proficiency in Microsoft 365 and cloud services like Azure or AWS. ITSM experience is essential and Power Apps/Power Automate are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science or equivalent.
• Experience building Windows server systems including deployment and handover to the application team with proficiency in Windows Client Provisioning and Support.
• Hands-on with VMware environments (vCenter/ESXi).
• Provide level 2/3 support for infrastructure tools (Backup, Monitoring, Antivirus, Job Management) across Plan/Build/Run/Optimize.
• Scripting in PowerShell and Python; experience with Power Apps and Power Automate is desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Forms, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Office) and network configuration (ACL, Firewall).
• Knowledge of IT Service Management; hands-on Cloud (Azure, AWS) and SQL Server experience.

About the job IT Infrastructure Specialist (Permanent)

Responsibilities:

• As part of the Operations and Maintenance team, to ensure the stable operation of customer internal systems and servers
• Coordinating with vendors for the renewal and management of hardware and software maintenance contracts
• Provide suggestions to the Team Head for enhancing operational efficiency and maintenance processes
• Collaborate with team members to serve as the liaison between the customers Head Office and Singapore Branch for operational tasks.

Key Requirements

• Bachelors degree in information technology, Computer Science or equivalent
• Possess experience in building Windows server systems, including server deployment, application installation, and handover to the application team, along with proficiency in Windows Client Provisioning and Support
• Responsible for the operation and maintenance of VMware environments, including vCenter and ESXi
• Provide level 2 and level 3 support for the operation and maintenance of infrastructure tools (Backup, Monitoring, Anti-Virus, Job Management, etc.), with experience in system engineering across the Plan, Build, Run, and Optimize phases
• Skilled in scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python, with experience in application development using Power Apps and Power Automate (desirable)
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Forms, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Office) and experienced in network configuration (ACL, Firewall)
• Knowledgeable in IT Service Management, with hands-on experience in Cloud Services (Azure, AWS) and databases such as SQL Server.
