Job summary

FARBEN INFORMATION (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. invites a Helpdesk technician to maintain Windows systems, assist users with installations, upgrades and configurations, and support hardware in a Singapore-based environment.

You will handle hardware faults, network connectivity issues, VPN access, and ticket resolution while communicating in English and Chinese. The role is hands-on and on-site, requiring good customer service and basic IT skills.

Qualifications

• Familiar with various Windows operating systems and hardware.
• Basic network hardware knowledge and troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting Office Network, Shared Drives, Wireless and VPN connectivity.
• Basic communication skills in Chinese and English.

Job description

Job Responsabilites:

• System Software Maintenance: Routine maintenance, installation, upgrades, user guidance, and configuration services for Windows operating systems; as well as system installation, image creation and maintenance.
• Hardware fault detection, location, and troubleshooting;
• Switch-to-terminal network connectivity and troubleshooting.
• Supports wired network, Wi-Fi, shared files, and VPN access.
• Handle tickets assigned by the call center and complete them on time.
• Handle other helpdesk tasks as assigned by the client.

Job Requirements:

• Familiar with various Windows operating systems, printing systems and computer hardware (desktop computers, laptops, etc.).
• Familiar with general network hardware and capable of performing basic troubleshooting and configuration tasks.
• Ability to Support of Office Network, Shared Drive, Wireless, and VPN connectivity
• Have basic communication skills in both Chinese and English, capable of supporting and maintaining Chinese and English versions of operating systems and software systems.
