Job summary

Millennium Technology Services in Singapore seeks an experienced Linux Systems Administrator to lead setup, backup, patching, and monitoring of enterprise infrastructure. You will troubleshoot performance issues, design scalable system architectures, and ensure audit-compliant operations.

Responsibilities include DR planning, mentoring junior staff, and delivering regular performance reports, with on-call support for urgent production issues.

Qualifications

• Degree holder in information technology, computer science or related discipline.
• 5+ years working experience in Redhat Linux 8/9 system administration.
• Solid knowledge of technical infrastructure and system architecture design.
• Hands-on experience with VMware, IBM GPFS, Veritas Infoscale, Redhat GFS, Redhat Cluster Suite and middleware products (Apache, Nginx, JBOSS EAP, Tomcat, WebSphere, MQSeries).
• Proficiency in shell scripting, Bigfix and Ansible.
• Experience in distributed system design and administration is a plus.
• Experience in system performance monitoring and tuning.
• Willing to work outside office hours for urgent production issues.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills in Chinese and English; Mandarin a plus.
• Familiarity with EOS, patch management and lifecycle management.
• Strong understanding of audit and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain disaster recovery failover procedures and participate in DR drills.
• Coordinate infrastructure changes related to network deployments or upgrades.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive and corrective actions.

Requirements

• Self-motivated, and willing to work under pressure to meet deadlines
• Will to work out of office hours for urgent production issues supporting
