Job summary

PEOPLE PROFILERS (SERVICES) PTE. LTD. seeks an IT & Assembly Supervisor to plan, assemble, service and maintain portable equipment used for pipeline repair. The role combines ERP and 3D modelling systems to align engineering requirements with business processes.

You will set up IT systems, link work instructions to engineering drawings, and manage inventory via QR codes interfacing with ERP. Compliance with safety standards and on-site deployment support are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in machine shop operations or mechanical assembly where IT systems were a core responsibility.
• Technical diploma, NITEC, or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Precision Engineering, or related field.
• On-site experience with pipeline systems or mechanical system servicing preferred.
• Strong understanding of mechanical drawings and assembly procedures.
• Knowledge of health & safety practices in industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute the implementation of ERP and 3D modelling systems in the work environment. This will facilitate the supervision of assembly, servicing and testing of portable machines for pipeline and mechanical system repair.
• Plan and execute the set up of inventory management systems utilising QR codes and interfaces with the ERP system.
• Maintenance of IT systems & data within ERP, 3D Engineering Modelling & Inventory Management systems. Ensure assembly procedures, service records and maintenance records are maintained with the IT systems
• Collaborate with engineers and supply chain team to improve assembly processes and equipment reliability maintaining efficient assembling & servicing operations
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment to ensure operational readiness.
• Support on-site deployment, installation, and servicing of machines at customer locations.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and company health & safety policies.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices in the office and on-site environments.
• Document assembly procedures, service reports, and maintenance records accurately.

Role Overview

The IT & Assembly Supervisor is responsible for the planning, assembly, servicing and maintenance of the company's portable equipment used for pipeline and mechanical system repair. This role requires IT experience in combining ERP & 3D model engineering systems to integrate business and engineering requirement into the work environment. The role will require the set up of IT systems in the office environment, eg. workstations and handheld devices that will support implement digital procedures for the assembly and servicing activities. Easily accessible work instructions linked to current engineering drawings and standards. Office activities will be linked to the ERP system to track progress and costs. The role will also support the set up of inventory management systems utilising QR codes and scanners/handheld devices as interfaces with the ERP system. Additionally this role requires hands‑on mechanical technical expertise, adherence to health and safety standards and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The IT & Assembly Supervisor will work with external system integrators to deliver these systems. After implementation the role will be responsible for maintaining and updating the systems.
