Job summary

NexWave Technologies Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Network Incident and Problem Specialist to manage escalations from L1/L2, coordinate with infra tower teams and vendors to identify root causes, and ensure timely resolution of complex network issues.

The role requires hands-on experience with routers and switches, deep knowledge of routing protocols, and the ability to work under pressure while adhering to customer processes.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science.
• Solid networking knowledge: routing, switching, LAN/WAN, VLAN, OSPF/BGP.
• Hands-on experience with routers and switches for troubleshooting.
• Ability to work under pressure and independent.
• Willingness to perform shift work and contract terms.

Job Description:

• Management of network incidents escalations from L1/L2, incident and problem and security incident response.
• Responsible to work with the respective infra tower teams in troubleshooting and identify root cause, related to network.
• Responsible to work with the respective network vendors’ support teams for the troubleshooting, identification and resolution of network problems.
• Handling of the critical network incidents under pressure situations to resolve in timely manner to minimize the business impact.
• Attend to conference calls with other support teams for problem identification and resolutions.
• Must have good communication skills and able to work independently.
• Must adhere to process and policies of the customers.
• Able to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science.
• In-depth understanding of the networking concepts - Routing, Switching, LAN/WAN, Spanning Tree Protocol, HSRP, ARP, VLAN, Inter-VLAN Routing, OSPF, BGP etc.
• Hands on experience on routers and switches for basic troubleshooting of the network related problems and incidents.
• Advanced hands-on experience on troubleshooting complex network problems.
• Logical thinking and problem analysis skills to troubleshoot complex network problem to isolate the root cause and provide suitable resolution.
• Knowledge of advanced network technologies like VXLAN, Cisco ACI, VXLAN BGP eVPN, SDA, SDWAN etc will be added advantage.
• Must be able to perform shift work and commit 1-year contract.
