Job summary

Groundup.ai in Singapore seeks an IoT Field Engineer to deploy, manage, and optimize our IoT hardware and AI-driven maintenance solutions at client sites across manufacturing, shipping, oil & gas, and more. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechatronics/Computer Engineering or related field.
• At least 2–3 years IoT hardware deployment or field engineering experience.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language.
• Strong problem-solving and client-facing communication skills.
• Willingness to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute IoT hardware deployments tailored to client site requirements.
• Install and configure software and hardware solutions on-site.
• Coordinate with R&D, Product, Sales for installation, integration, and commissioning.
• Safe commissioning and handover: pre-commissioning checks, testing, and handover documentation.
• Ensure electrical testing and safety requirements are met.
• Provide on-site technical support and training to clients.
• Translate requirements into deployment architectures and cost assumptions.
• Support customer-facing technical discussions and mitigate risks.
