Job summary

Intermediate Capital Group (ICG) is seeking an Associate for APAC Corporate in Singapore. The role focuses on executing investments within the Asia Pacific fund strategy and supporting Japanese market investments.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in supporting portfolio management and executing value creation initiatives (10 years from Private Equity, top investment banking, or Big4)
• Strong academic background in economics and finance
• Detailed knowledge of ICG funds and investment strategies
• Top-class financial modelling and analysis, including LBO exposure
• Strong research/analytical skills with entrepreneurial mindset
• Native-level Japanese plus strong English to liaise with stakeholders in Japan and globally

Responsibilities

• Build and own financial modelling/return analyses for investments in Asia Pacific, including KPI drivers and risk sensitivity.
• Coordinate due diligence efforts with external advisors and prepare investment papers.
• Monitor and report portfolio performance; support value creation initiatives and ESG integration.
• Support origination by building networks with investment banks, M&A advisors, accountants and lawyers in Japan.
• Prepare external company materials and pitches; conduct industry research and maintain team data (WIP/target lists).
• Assist in offshore structuring and coordinating with global teams as needed.
