Job summary

Labcorp Development Asia Pacific (Asia) Pte. Ltd. offers a paid internship designed to expose students to clinical and drug development laboratory work. You will gain hands-on experience across departments, learning assays and data interpretation in a fast‑paced setting.

During the program, you will rotate through labs, perform quality control, maintain equipment, and document results while receiving mentoring and opportunities to present learnings at program milestones.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Medical Sciences, Biochemistry, or related Bachelor's degree programs.
• Other degree programs can also be considered.
• Ability to organize data and documents effectively and to communicate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Observe analytical testing of specimens and interpret results.
• Perform quality control testing, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Maintain laboratory supplies and housekeeping; rotate through departments.
• Provide clerical support and participate in mentoring; deliver a final presentation of training outcomes.

Internship Details

Duration: at least 20 weeks, full-time (Onsite) Dates of Internship: Jan – Jun 2027 Compensation: Paid internship Eligibility: Final-year students who are expected to graduate in Jul/Aug 2027 are preferred. However, students at all academic levels who are pursuing relevant fields of study are encouraged to apply.

Internship Assignment Summary

You will learn about the various assays and their applications essential for clinical and commercial applications which have facilitated discovery of new diagnostics and treatments to manage a wide array of diseases. Gain clinical experience working in the laboratory of a drug development company. Observe analytical testing of specimens, interpret and document test results. Perform quality control testing, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting. Upkeep of lab equipment, maintain laboratory supplies and good housekeeping. Rotate through other departments of the laboratory. Perform routine clerical duties as required. Instruction and mentorship will be provided. At the end of training, the student will do presentation to fulfill his/her understanding in the training program across the various departments.

Minimum Qualifications

Current enrollment in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Medical Sciences, Biochemistry, or related Bachelor's degree programs. Other degree programs can also be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

Able to organize data and documents effectively. Demonstrates the ability to communicate and collaborate with stakeholders and internal/external colleagues. Have the “can-do” and proactive mindset when resolving issues.

Additional Job Standards

Good organization and multitasking ability. Able to communicate effectively with excellent verbal/written communication skills. Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Creative and self-motivated individuals who work collaboratively in a high-performance team environment.
