Job summary

NTC INTEGRATION (PTE) LTD is seeking an Infrastructure Support Engineer to perform routine operations and on-call maintenance. You will monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and work with a team to keep systems secure and available.

The role requires hands-on experience with Windows and Linux servers, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), AD/RDS, and Microsoft 365. You will document changes and contribute to service improvements while supporting a 24/7 on-call schedule.

Qualifications

• Must have 2–3 years of experience deploying and maintaining Server, Storage and Backup solutions in Windows & Linux environments.
• Experience in administration of Microsoft Server, SQL Server, Reporting Server.
• Experience in administration of Virtualization environments (VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V).
• Experience in administration of AD, RDS and system troubleshooting.
• Experience in administration of Email System (Microsoft 365) and Troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee infrastructure operations and ensure IT standards and procedures are followed.
• Assist with monitoring daily infrastructure traffic and performance.
• Configure infrastructure and related computing environments including hardware and software.
• Maintain documentation of maintenance, tests and optimisation procedures.
• Resolve infrastructure-related incidents as first point of contact and escalate when needed.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Infrastructure Support Engineerperforms routine infrastructure operations and maintenance activities. He/Sheassists with monitoring infrastructure performance. He checks for problems inexisting systems and modifies work processes by following defined procedures,processes and quality standards. He is required to be on standby with on-callavailability with varied shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.

He works in a team setting and isproficient in infrastructure systems and network-related tools and techniquesrequired by the organisation. He is also familiar with the relevant softwareplatforms on which the database is deployed.

The Infrastructure Support Engineeris able to solve issues quickly and effectively as they arise. He is able tomethodically identify the cause of the issue, evaluate it and develop asolution in collaboration with the team. He is able to communicate effectivelyand displays high service level standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Overseeinfrastructure operations

• Performroutine checks on infrastructure operations activities in accordance with theIT Operations standards and procedures
• Assistwith monitoring daily infrastructure traffic and performance
• Configureinfrastructure and related computing environments such as computer hardware,systems software, applications software
• Maintaindocumentation of maintenance and optimisation procedures and tests
• Performminor infrastructure repairs in accordance with design or installationspecifications

Maintaininfrastructure performance

• Assistwith infrastructure testing, ongoing optimisation or changes, and scheduledupgrades and updates
• Coordinatethe deployment of new and/or upgraded infrastructure

Resolveinfrastructure-related problems and issues

• Actas the first point of contact for infrastructure-related incidents
• Assistwith problem identification and resolution
• Escalateunresolved infrastructure-related incidents for resolution
• Documentsincidents and track resolution in management systems
• Documentsolutions to common infrastructure-related incidents

Overseeservice level agreements and service improvements

• Assistin developing service-level objectives and targets
• Maintainlogs of service level performance metrics
• Suggestimprovements for procedures and controls to enhance performance and clientsatisfaction
• Identifyrecurring incidents and potential issues for senior management

QUALIFICATION& EXPERIENCE:

• Diploma/Degreein Computer Science or IT, or with at least 2-3 years of experience indeploying and maintaining Server, Storage and Backup solution in Windows &Linux environment.
• Experiencein administration of Microsoft Server, SQL Server, Reporting Server.
• Experiencein administration of Virtualization environment (VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V).
