Job summary

Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation in Singapore is seeking an experienced Senior Credit Risk professional to independently assess, challenge and approve complex infrastructure financing proposals across Asia Pacific.

You will review project, holding company, portfolio financings and related structures, develop credit recommendations and mentor junior officers, while ensuring alignment with risk appetite and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of infrastructure/project finance or related experience.
• Experience assessing complex infrastructure financing transactions.
• Strong understanding of finance structures, modelling, risks and documentation.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently assess financing proposals across infra financing transactions.
• Review project, holding, portfolio financings and related structures.
• Evaluate financing structures, contracts and security packages.
• Formulate independent credit recommendations for approval.
• Engage with business units on risk terms and documentation standards.
• Monitor portfolios across Asia Pacific and contribute to risk oversight.
