Job summary

Sumitomo Group Singapore seeks an experienced credit professional to review loan applications from front office, assess risks, and provide recommendations to credit approvers within approved authority matrices.

You will monitor a credit portfolio, analyze financial statements and projections, and collaborate with FO and CPM to ensure robust credit decisions while managing non-performing loans and credit costs. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Min. 5 years' experience within FO or credit department of a financial institution or credit risk role.
• Experience with leveraged/LBO financing or non-recourse fund NAV financing is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills including reviewing financial statements and projecting reasonableness.

Responsibilities

• Review and assess new loan applications and decide/approve or recommend to credit approver.
• Review and manage a credit portfolio and address queries from credit approver.
• Closely monitor non-performing loans and credit costs.
• Analyze financial statements and projections submitted by FO or CPM.
