Job summary

SYNAPXE PTE. LTD. is seeking an Infrastructure Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure IT infrastructure, protecting systems and data while ensuring policy compliance. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to enhance overall security posture.

This is a 2-year contract, requiring hands-on expertise in Fortinet and firewall policy management, plus automation and ITSM integrations. Mentoring junior engineers is part of the duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years in Enterprise Firewall; 1+ year in Network Security tech.
• Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet required.
• Experience with enterprise-level infrastructure.
• Knowledge of Firewall Policy Management tools like Algosec with Automation/ITSM.
• Some programming/scripting knowledge preferred.
• Knowledge of System & Network technologies.
• Automation infra knowledge is a plus.
• Keen and curious mindset for new technologies.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.

Position Summary:

The Infrastructure Security Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the security of an organization's IT infrastructure. This role involves protecting systems, networks, and data from potential threats, ensuring compliance with security policies and regulations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance overall security posture.

This is a 2 years contract.

Roles & responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Network Security tools, practices and processes, coordinate security measures to protect the organization’s network infrastructure.
• Work with a team of engineers to develop integrations between Firewall Policy Management, Automation and ITSM Tools.
• Develop and maintain processes and practices that drives towards incorporating best practices, improving operations hygiene and Standardization of Firewall Processes.
• Collaborate with Automation Team to develop new capabilities, improve integration between systems, improve efficiency and user experience.
• Provide regular reports and updates to Stakeholders.
• Provide coaching and guidance to junior engineers.

Requirements/ Qualifications:

• Bachelor in Computer Engineering or equivalent
• At least 5 year of experience in Enterprise Firewall and minimum 1 year of experience in Network Security-related technologies.
• Strong hands on experience with Fortinet is required
• Technical and hands-on engineer who have built, developed, or managed enterprise-level and mission-critical infrastructure.
• Have good knowledge developing Network Security Processes andworking with Firewall Policy Management Tools (such as Algosec) and integrating it with Automation and ITSM Tools.
• Preferably some knowledge in working with programming and scripting languages.
• Knowledge in System & Network-related technologies.
• Have some working knowledge in infrastructure automation will be an advantage
