Job summary

Sedha Consulting is seeking an ICT Infrastructure Engineer to implement and operate enterprise storage and backup infrastructure. You will handle deployments, migrations, and automation to improve efficiency and reliability.

The role requires 5+ years in storage/infrastructure, hands-on experience with major storage platforms, and strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Familiarity with cloud backups and ITIL-based operations is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in storage engineering, infrastructure operations, or related role.
• Hands-on experience with Hitachi, NetApp, Dell EMC, Pure Storage, HPE storage platforms.
• Experience with storage migrations, re-platforming, consolidation, or data migration projects.
• Good knowledge of SAN, NAS, iSCSI, NFS, CIFS storage technologies.
• Experience with backup platforms such as Veritas NetBackup, Commvault, Veeam, Dell EMC NetWorker.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation.
• Familiarity with cloud storage/backup services like AWS S3, AWS Backup; AI-assisted tooling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support storage and backup implementation projects, including deployments, migrations, and decommissioning of legacy systems.
• Plan and execute data migrations and lift-and-shift activities with minimal production disruption.
• Configure and manage backup infrastructure, including policies, schedules, retention, replication, and recovery.
• Support backup restoration tests and disaster recovery exercises to meet RTO/RPO targets.
• Monitor storage capacity, performance, backup jobs, incidents, and platform health.
• Develop security baselines, hardening standards, test cases, and audit documentation.
• Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements for storage/backup.
• Identify automation opportunities using Python, Bash, PowerShell and AI-assisted tooling.
• Collaborate with server, network, database, application, and security teams.
• Maintain SOPs, runbooks, and knowledge-base articles.

ICT Infrastructure Engineer (Storage – Project Implementation & Operations)

We are looking for an experienced ICT Infrastructure Engineer to support the implementation and operations of enterprise storage and backup infrastructure. This is a hands-on role covering storage deployments, migrations, backup operations, automation, security compliance, and day-to-day infrastructure support.

What You Will Do

• Support storage and backup implementation projects, including new deployments, capacity expansion, migrations, re-platforming, and decommissioning of legacy systems.
• Plan and execute data migrations and lift-and-shift activities with minimal disruption to production environments.
• Configure and manage enterprise backup infrastructure, including backup policies, schedules, retention, replication, and recovery processes.
• Support backup restoration exercises and disaster recovery testing, ensuring defined RTO/RPO requirements are met.
• Monitor storage capacity, performance, backup jobs, incidents, and overall platform health.
• Develop and maintain security baselines, hardening standards, test cases, implementation documentation, and audit evidence.
• Ensure storage and backup implementations comply with applicable security and regulatory requirements.

• Experience preparing security baseline, hardening, test-case, compliance, and audit documentation is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for infrastructure automation.
• Familiarity with cloud storage and backup services such as AWS S3, AWS Backup, or equivalent is advantageous.
• Exposure to AI/ML or LLM-based tools for scripting, log analysis, anomaly detection, or operations automation is a plus.
• Experience working in an ITIL-aligned operational environment is advantageous.
• Strong communication, documentation, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
