Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years in storage engineering, infrastructure operations, or related roles.
• Hands-on with enterprise storage platforms (Hitachi, NetApp, Dell EMC, Pure Storage, HPE).
• Experience with migrations, re-platforming, and data migration projects.
• Knowledge of SAN/NAS/iSCSI/NFS/CIFS and related storage tech.
• Experience with backup platforms (Veritas NetBackup, Commvault, Veeam, Dell EMC NetWorker).
• Automation scripting in Python/Bash/PowerShell; cloud storage knowledge is a plus.
• Exposure to ITIL-aligned operations and security/compliance.

ICT Infrastructure Engineer (Storage – Project Implementation & Operations)

We are looking for an experienced ICT Infrastructure Engineer to support the implementation and operations of enterprise storage and backup infrastructure. This is a hands‑on role covering storage deployments, migrations, backup operations, automation, security compliance, and day‑to‑day infrastructure support.

What You Will Do

• Support storage and backup implementation projects, including new deployments, capacity expansion, migrations, re‑platforming, and decommissioning of legacy systems.
• Plan and execute data migrations and lift‑and‑shift activities with minimal disruption to production environments.
• Configure and manage enterprise backup infrastructure, including backup policies, schedules, retention, replication, and recovery processes.
• Support backup restoration exercises and disaster recovery testing, ensuring defined RTO/RPO requirements are met.
• Monitor storage capacity, performance, backup jobs, incidents, and overall platform health.
• Develop and maintain security baselines, hardening standards, test cases, implementation documentation, and audit evidence.
• Ensure storage and backup implementations comply with applicable security and regulatory requirements.
• Identify automation opportunities using Python, Bash, PowerShell, and AI‑assisted tooling to improve operational efficiency and reliability.
• Work closely with server, network, database, application, security, and other infrastructure teams.
• Maintain clear SOPs, runbooks, technical documentation, and knowledge‑base articles.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in storage engineering, infrastructure operations, or a related role.
• Hands‑on experience with enterprise storage platforms such as Hitachi, NetApp, Dell EMC, Pure Storage, HPE, or equivalent.
• Experience with storage migrations, re‑platforming, consolidation, or data migration projects.
• Good knowledge of SAN, NAS, iSCSI, NFS, CIFS and related storage technologies.
• Experience with enterprise backup platforms such as Veritas NetBackup, Commvault, Veeam, Dell EMC NetWorker, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of backup policies, restoration, disaster recovery, deduplication, replication, snapshots, and cloud/offsite backup.
• Experience preparing security baseline, hardening, test‑case, compliance, and audit documentation is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for infrastructure automation.
• Familiarity with cloud storage and backup services such as AWS S3, AWS Backup, or equivalent is advantageous.
• Exposure to AI/ML or LLM‑based tools for scripting, log analysis, anomaly detection, or operations automation is a plus.
• Experience working in an ITIL-aligned operational environment is advantageous.
• Strong communication, documentation, problem‑solving, and stakeholder‑management skills.
