Job summary

PERSOL is seeking an experienced Business Analyst in Singapore to collaborate with business and technical teams, map data flows and support Power BI dashboard development. You will identify automation opportunities, document BRDs and FSDs, and drive data-driven improvements across reporting processes.

The role emphasizes data governance, SQL proficiency, and strong stakeholder engagement to deliver reliable data insights and robust reporting solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 5+ years as a Business Analyst in data-driven projects.
• Experience documenting Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and Functional Specification Documents (FSDs).
• Strong information gathering and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proven ability in process improvement and business process re-engineering.
• Knowledge of data governance and data quality principles.
• Experience with source systems, data warehouses and ETL processes.
• Proficiency in SQL or other data querying tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather and document requirements.
• Analyse existing manual reporting processes and identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
• Map data flows from source systems to reporting outputs, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
• Work with data engineers and developers to define data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) requirements.
• Support the design and implementation of Power BI dashboards and visualisations to meet business needs.
• Review and recommend process enhancements to enable automation opportunities.
• Facilitate workshops and interviews to elicit information and clarify requirements.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure successful deployment of reporting solutions.
• Maintain clear documentation of business processes, data mappings, and reporting logic.

Requirements:

• Holds Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant field
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst in data-driven projects.
• Experience in workflows, concrete system documentation, such as Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and Functional Specification Documents (FSDs).
• Excellent information gathering and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Demonstrated ability in process improvement and business process re-engineering.
