Job summary

Lintec & Linnhoff in Singapore seeks a Data & BI Specialist to support Commercial, Sales, Engineering and Management by developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards, ERP data handling and automation. Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering or related.
• Hands-on Power BI experience is essential.
• Experience with Power Query and ETL/data transformation is strongly preferred.
• Experience in business application development (e.g., Power Apps) is required.
• Good knowledge of databases, data modelling and data management.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance Power BI dashboards and management reports.

Job description

To support Commercial, Sales, Engineering and Management functions through the development, maintenance and administration of business databases, ERP-related data, Power BI dashboards, business applications and reporting solutions.

The role will ensure the accuracy, consistency and availability of commercial, sales, operational and management information across the company’s regional entities and provide technical support for the digital tools used by Management, Sales and Engineering teams.

The role will also support continuous improvement of existing business processes by translating operational requirements into practical data, reporting, automation and application solutions.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance Power BI dashboards and management reports.
• Maintain existing dashboards and troubleshoot reporting, data refresh, data model and source-data issues.
• Manage data models, relationships, business rules and report logic.
• Work with Finance, Sales, Commercial and regional entities to ensure financial and operational figures presented in dashboards are accurate and aligned with source data.
• Develop new dashboards and reports according to evolving business and management requirements.

Business Application Development

• Maintain and enhance existing business applications
• Develop new functionality and applications where required.
• Troubleshoot application issues and support users.
• Manage data connections, workflows and integration with relevant business data sources.
• Understand existing application business logic and modify or extend applications when business requirements change.

Database, Data Integration & ERP

• Maintain and support databases used for sales, quotation, reporting and related business activities.
• Perform Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) activities to extract, clean, transform, consolidate and validate data from ERP systems, Excel files, databases and other business data sources.
• Understand and work with ERP/database structures across the company’s different entities.
• Coordinate with Finance, IT and regional entities to resolve data discrepancies and maintain data integrity.
• Support integration and data flow between ERP/database sources, Power BI and business applications.
• Support ERP data extraction through available interfaces such as OData, APIs, database connections or reporting tools.

Sales, Commercial & Business Support

• Understand commercial transaction lifecycle, sales/ commercial reporting and operational requirements and translate them into practical system/reporting solutions.
• Input commercial transactions into the ERP system and update or transfer transactions according to their business status.
• Support management reporting and sales performance analysis.
• Maintain documentation for dashboards, databases, applications, data sources and processes.
• Provide user support and training for relevant systems and reporting tools.
• Support continuous improvement and automation of existing processes.
• Assist in defining and maintaining consistent reporting rules, data definitions and business logic across entities.

Data Quality & Governance

• Monitor data quality and identify missing, duplicated, incorrectly classified or inconsistent records.
• Perform reconciliation between source systems and management reports to ensure reporting accuracy.
• Maintain consistent master data, mappings and reporting definitions across different business units.
• Investigate data discrepancies and work with relevant stakeholders to identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Ensure reporting logic and data transformation rules are properly documented and maintainable.

Process Improvement & Automation

• Identify repetitive, manual or inefficient business processes and recommend practical digital solutions.
• Automate data preparation, reporting and administrative processes where appropriate.
• Translate user and management requirements into system specifications, dashboards, applications or automated workflows.
• Evaluate suitable technologies based on business requirements rather than being restricted to a specific development platform.
• Support implementation, testing, user acceptance and deployment of new digital solutions.

Cross-functional / Regional Coordination

• Work closely with Commercial, Sales, Finance, Engineering, IT and Management across different regional entities.
• Liaise with regional entities to ensure consistency of data and reporting in consultation with Finance and IT.
• Support systems and reporting requirements across the different regional entities.
• Coordinate with users and process owners to gather requirements, investigate issues and implement practical system or reporting solutions.

Others

• Undertake any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time to support business requirements.

Job Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Hands-on Power BI experience is essential.
• Experience with Power Query and Extract Transform Load (ETL)/ data transformation is strongly preferred.
• Experience in business application development is required. Example: Microsoft Power Apps, vibe coding development, etc
• Good knowledge of databases, data modelling and data management.
• Good understanding of data validation, reconciliation and reporting accuracy.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into dashboards, reports, data solutions, process improvements and applications.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to investigate discrepancies across multiple systems and data sources.
• Able to work independently and coordinate with Commercial, Sales, Finance, IT, Engineering, Management and overseas entities.
• Experience in a multi-entity or multinational environment would be advantageous.
• Ability to understand commercial processes and sales transaction flows would be advantageous.
• Additional Advantage: Experience with Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, Microsoft Dataverse, SQL, Power Query, OData/API integration, VBA or other automation technologies, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar ERP/CRM environments.
