Job summary

Gradiant is seeking a Process Commissioning Engineer to plan, coordinate and execute commissioning, startup, and performance testing for industrial water and wastewater systems. The role supports safe, efficient handover from construction to operations on projects across the country, including semiconductor/high-purity facilities.

You will develop start-up plans, coordinate with operations and vendors, and lead optimization efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical or environmental engineering.
• Minimum 2 years commissioning/start-up experience in industrial water facilities.
• Hands-on start-up of membrane systems (UF/RO) and chemical treatment preferred for semiconductor/high-purity projects.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction; LOTO and confined-space training.

Responsibilities

• Execute dry and wet commissioning activities for assigned process systems.
• Verify mechanical completion and commissioning readiness against prerequisites.
• Develop start-up plans and testing methodologies for subsystems.
• Coordinate start-up activities with operations, vendors and construction teams.
• Supervise membrane and media handling and related loading activities.
• Troubleshoot process and operational issues during commissioning.
• Compile records, alarm/setpoint lists and turnover dossiers.
• Train Client operators on process operation and troubleshooting.
