Job summary

Veolia in Singapore seeks a seasoned Commissioning Supervisor to lead project execution across water treatment systems. You will drive schedule, cost, quality, and EHS, manage site activities, and supervise commissioning, SCADA/ICS testing, and client handovers.

The role requires an engineering background with extensive commissioning experience, strong leadership, and travel flexibility to meet project needs. You'll mentor the project team and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• University degree or certificate in Engineering, or 10+ years in water treatment field.

Responsibilities

• Report to Project Manager / Commissioning Manager.
• Drive schedule, cost, quality and EHS excellence.
• Ensure site commissioning and reporting guidelines are followed.
• Compile commissioning SATs and certifications.
• Manage customer relationships for commissioning activities.
• Review daily project reports and progress.
• Support timely commissioning, SCADA/ICS testing.
• Identify cost out opportunities and reduce project costs.
• Drive zero punch lists before client handover.
• Provide technical leadership to team members.
• Develop and mentor team members.
• Assign site teams based on project needs for contract success.
• Monitor performance across cost, schedule, EHS and quality.
• Resolve issues to ensure project success and deliverables.
• Coordinate with project teams, service teams, contractors, clients.

Job Description

• Reporting directly to the Project Manager/ Commissioning Manager




• Drive excellence in schedule, cost, quality and EHS.




• Ensure that site commissioning and reporting guideline are being followed and are accurate.




• Manage the compilation of commissioning SATs.




• Manage customer relationships for all commissioning activities.




• Manage the compilation of certification plant and its pre-requisites.




• Reviews of project daily reports, issues and progress.




• Support the timely commissioning, SCADA /　ICS and required testing completion of all projects.




• Reduce overall project cost through process change and cost out opportunities.




• Drive zero punch list prior to client handover of project sites.




• Manage workload and provide technical/functional leadership and expertise to direct reports or peers.




• Develop and mentor team members.




• Expertise in overall field operations Ensure process discipline on site and assign site teams based on project requirements to ensure contract requirements are met.




• During execution, monitor project performance in all areas including cost, schedule, technical advisory services, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and quality.




• Identify performance issues and provide the leadership to resolve issues and ensure the project success.




• Execute all site activities and liaising with project teams, service teams, contractors, clients and Project Managers within the region.




• Coach, Train co-team members, deliver training to client teams & others as required.




• Responsible for project documentation including but not limited to: Environmental, Health and Safety, Quality, Cost, Continuous improvement and Compliance requirements.




• Meet all team goals for Safety, Cost & Project Deadlines

Qualifications

• Possess a University degree or certificate in Engineering, or at least 10 years’ proven work experience in water treatment field




• Previous Commissioning Supervision experience in project execution activities




• Be able to demonstrate you have the ability to technically and professionally prioritize, organize work, meet deadlines, multitask with limited direction.




• Strong communication and influencing skills




• Ability to learn other software applications (PLC testing) with addition to Google Suite software




• Ability to work in and with cross-functional teams in a matrix environment – have strong Influencing skills and ability to communicate vision to clients.




• Be customer focused, clear thinker, and detail oriented.




• Experience and knowledge of water treatment systems and equipment. Ultra-Filtration (UF), Reverse Osmosis (RO), EDR, EDI, MBR, MABR, pumps, motors, FDA, filtration, UPW and chemical feed systems.




• Experience with all water treatment equipment & analyzers.




• Ability to travel, as needed
