Job summary

De Nora Water Technologies is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to lead design and execution of water, wastewater, and industrial water projects in Singapore. You will perform process design, calculations, PFD/P&ID development, equipment selection, and technical documentation while coordinating with clients, vendors, and internal teams.

You will mentor junior engineers, lead a project team during execution, ensure robust system design, and ensure delivery within schedule and budget.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Environmental, or equivalent).
• Minimum eight years of experience as a Process Engineer in water/wastewater projects.
• Extensive knowledge of water/wastewater and IW/UW treatment tech (UF, RO, ion exchange, CAS, SBR, MBR, etc.).
• Strong people, stakeholder management, and technical writing skills.
• Semiconductor WWTP design experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead process engineering design for water/wastewater and industrial/ultrapure water systems.
• Develop PFD and P&ID and specify equipment and process calculations.
• Provide technical support during project execution and tender stage.
• Mentor and train junior engineers and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Ensure compliance with quality management system and client requirements.
• Travel to sites as needed.

Job description

We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer to support the design and execution of water, wastewater, industrial water, ultrapure water, and semiconductor wastewater treatment projects. The role includes process design, calculations, PFD/P&ID development, equipment selection, technical documentation, and providing technical support during project execution. The candidate will work with internal teams, clients, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Process engineering design development for Water, Wastewater, and Industrial/Ultrapure Water treatment unit operations and technologies such as Chemical Pre-treatment (i.e. coagulation, flocculation), Clarifiers, Granular Filtration, Disinfection, UF, SWRO, BWRO, Ion Exchange (i.e. Softening, Demin), CAS, SBR, MBR, MBBR, Chemical Dosing Systems, Instrument/Plant Air Systems, etc.) which includes but not limited to process calculations, technical specifications, pipe sizing, equipment selection.
• Provide cost effective solutions while ensuring technical compliance with client requirements.
• Provide necessary training and mentoring to Process Engineers and other relevant personnel
• Ensure robust and efficient system design.
• To lead a team of engineers during Project Execution Phase.
• Work together with multi-discipline engineering team to develop P&ID and PFD for water and wastewater treatment systems.
• To provide process expertise for troubleshooting and operations optimization for BW Water systems.
• Provide technical support to tender team for potential projects as needed.
• Develop and maintain all assigned process related engineering templates.
• To follow all Group quality directives and input and suggest improvements where relevant.
• To follow the company’s policy to ensure as much project scope as possible is kept within the Group.
• Ensure all the work task is following the requirement in the QMS system.
• Ensure all deliverables are met within the agreed timeline and costs.
• Provide technical support during technical and commercial meetings with customers, vendors and subcontractors.
• Maintain effective communication with all internal and external relevant disciplines.
• Attend all relevant trainings and seminars.
• Perform any other duties required by the Superior from time to time.
• Able to travel when needed.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Environmental, or similar relevant qualification)
• Minimum of eight (8) years work experience as Process Engineer in Water and Wastewater Treatment Systems including process design.
• Proven direct knowledge-base and experience in Water, Wastewater, and Industrial/Ultrapure Water treatment unit operations and technologies such as Chemical Pre-treatment (i.e. coagulation, flocculation), Clarifiers, Granular Filtration, Disinfection, UF, SWRO, BWRO, Ion Exchange (i.e. Softening, Demin), CAS, SBR, MBR, MBBR, Chemical Dosing Systems, Instrument/Plant Air Systems, etc.
• Effective People and Stakeholder Management skills
• Effective technical writing and reporting skills
• Expertise on Semiconductor WWTP Design, and Testing and Commissioning are added advantage.
