Job summary

STMicroelectronics is seeking an Industrial Engineer – Fab Efficiency to drive efficiency improvements across manufacturing operations. You will manage WIP, AMHS integration, and digital tools while leading continuous improvement initiatives with cross-functional teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 3 years of semiconductor IE experience, with strong analytics and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in semiconductor manufacturing operations or IE.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing operations, WIP management, Lean Manufacturing, AMHS.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with cross-functional collaboration.
  • Experience in performance improvement, data analysis and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

  • Drive fab efficiency improvements using IE and Lean methodologies.
  • Maintain and enhance WIP management and digital manufacturing solutions.
  • Improve AMHS performance and integration with scheduling systems.
  • Establish standard workflows to boost efficiency, quality and productivity.
  • Analyze bottlenecks, lot flow, and system performance to propose improvements.
  • Lead CI and digital transformation initiatives including dashboards and analytics.
  • Develop operational KPIs, decision tools and monitoring.

Industrial Engineer – Fab Efficiency
Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Drive fab efficiency improvements through Industrial Engineering and Lean methodologies.
  • Maintain and enhance WIP management (routing, scheduling, dispatching, reporting) and digital manufacturing solutions to achieve business objectives
  • Improve AMHS performance, material flow efficiency and integration with scheduling systems.
  • Establish standard workflow to improve efficiency, quality, productivity, and reduce waste
  • Analyse factory performance, bottlenecks, operational constraints, lot logistic flow, WIP balancing for tools, WIP linearity across operations, and system performance to recommend improvements
  • Lead continuous improvement and digital transformation initiatives, including dashboards, automation, analytics, and AI-enabled decision support.
  • Develop operational KPIs, decision support tools, and performance monitoring.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team (IE, Production, Process, Process Control, IT, Training) to develop project strategy, user requirement, risk assessment, testing plan and implementation plan
  • Document user requirements and standard workflows
  • Conduct training for industrial engineers, production managers/supervisors, and line trainers to promote digital tools and standard workflow
Qualification:
  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, System Engineering, Supply Chain or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in semiconductor manufacturing operations or Industrial Engineering.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing operations, WIP management, Lean Manufacturing, AMHS.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience in performance improvement, reporting, data analysis, data analytics with Power BI/Spotfire
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
