Job summary

The National Environment Agency in Singapore is seeking a proactive engineer to join the Carbon Mitigation Division within Industry Regulation 1. You will help administer energy efficiency regulations and support GHG reduction efforts in the industrial sector through regulatory review and field work.

You will conduct field audits, assess energy performance, develop guidelines, and design studies to identify opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering preferred; other engineering disciplines considered
• At least 2 years of working experience in energy efficiency or in an industrial plant
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good team player with interpersonal and communication skills
• Willingness to perform field audits and on-site inspections

Responsibilities

• Lead field audits and compliance checks of industrial facilities to ensure regulatory compliance
• Analyze energy performance of facilities and engage companies to improve energy management
• Review, develop, and implement requirements, standards and guidelines for energy efficiency and carbon mitigation
• Design, commission, and manage studies to identify opportunities for energy efficiency improvements and GHG reduction
