Job summary

GMP Technologies on Jurong Island seeks a Plant & Energy Engineer (SCEM Certified) to lead energy management initiatives, audits, and improvement projects in line with ISO50001 and regulatory requirements.

You will monitor energy and water usage, drive sustainability, oversee utility systems, capex projects, and support process safety and MoC change management, collaborating with maintenance, production and ESCO partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering.
• Singapore Certified Energy Manager certification required (certificate to be attached).
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing industry (Process/Equipment Optimization and Project Management).
• Experience with continuous improvement processes (Six Sigma/Lean/5S) advantageous.
• Experience with ASPEN PIMS and project management.
• Experience in digital data collection/analytics tools, databases like OEE/Testify.

Responsibilities

• Drive energy efficiency & sustainability: lead site energy management initiatives, audits, and improvement projects per ISO50001 and regulations.
• Monitor energy performance: track energy and water usage, implement conservation measures, report savings & carbon reductions.
• Lead Energy Management Team: quarterly reviews, collaborate with ESCO consultants, submit annual reports to NEA/EEIP.
• Maintain utility systems: oversee utilities availability, performance tracking, preventive maintenance, contractor coordination.
• Plant equipment reliability: ensure equipment compliance, preventive maintenance strategy, facility management.
• Technical support & troubleshooting: root-cause analysis with maintenance/production teams.
• CapEx & project management: plan, execute, and control capital projects (budget, schedule, safety & documentation).
• Equipment specification & upgrades: design/select equipment to meet requirements and improve efficiency.
• Process safety assurance: participate in HAZOP/QRA/safety case reviews and implement safety measures.
• Change management compliance: ensure process changes follow MoC procedures.
