Job summary

MediaTek is seeking an IC Physical Design Engineer for campus hiring in Singapore. You will participate in the physical design flow for advanced process technologies from RTL to GDS, acting as a block owner for multi-million instance designs and coordinating 5–10 blocks.

You will also contribute to floorplanning and partitioning for large hierarchical chips, guiding tape-out readiness. The role requires basic knowledge of IC design, UNIX/Linux, and programming in C/C++, Python, TCL, or Perl,

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of electronic design or IC design; internship preferred.
• Basic knowledge of UNIX/LINUX; at least one language from C/C++, Python, TCL, Perl.
• Good communication and teamwork spirit; eagerness to learn and take on challenges.

Responsibilities

• IC physical design of 12nm/6nm/4nm and below processes from RTL to GDS.
• Block owner for 2–3 million instances; work on Synthesis/APR/Signoff.
• Lead block coordination for 5–10 blocks; resolve critical issues and provide solutions.
• TOP role for complex hierarchical chips (20M+ instances, 500+ macros); perform floorplanning and partitioning; oversee full chip tape-out.
