Job summary

MediaTek Incorporated in Singapore is seeking a Senior/Staff Physical Design Engineer to drive physical design for 6nm/4nm/3nm processes, from RTL to GDS. You will coordinate Synthesis/APR/PV tasks across 10+ blocks, manage top-level floorplanning, and ensure on-time tapeout through cross-team coordination.

The role requires strong IC design knowledge, UNIX/Linux expertise, and leadership with tapeout experience. Singaporean/Singapore PRs preferred; join us to shape cutting-edge silicon.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of IC design; leadership role with tapeout experience is a must.
• Strong knowledge of UNIX/LINUX env and capable of at least one of the following programming language: C/C++, Python, TCL, Perl.
• Excellent communication and teamwork spirit; ability to coordinate with different teams to meet gates and deliver on time with quality.
• Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents are preferred.

Responsibilities

• IC physical design of 6nm/4nm/3nm and below world leading process chips, from RTL to GDS.
• Block coordinator for Synthesis/APR/PV tasks of 10+ blocks, solving critical issues and guiding block owners.
• TOP role for a complex hierarchical chip (20M+ instances, 1000+ macros) including floorplanning, partitioning and assembly.
• PD PM role to coordinate with Frontend and Signoff teams for on-time SoC PD delivery and tapeout.

• - IC physical design of 6nm/4nm/3nm and below world leading advanced process chip, from RTL to GDS.
• - Block coordinator role for Synthesis/APR/PV tasks of more than 10 blocks, solving the critical issue and give the solution to block owners.
• - TOP role for the complicated hierarchical chip (more than 20 million instances plus 1000+ macros), doing floorplan, partition and assembly etc.
• - PD PM role to coordinate with Frontend and Signoff team about on time delivery of the SoC PD tasks, responsible for full chip PD schedule and tapeout.
