Qualifications

• Proven subject matter expertise in IB and/or IGCSE subjects.
• Experience tutoring IB/IGCSE students with proven exam improvements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver tutoring sessions tailored to individual student needs across IB/IGCSE.
• Develop personalised learning plans aligned with curriculum and exam specifications.

About the role

Edulab Academy is seeking an experienced IB & IGCSE Tutors to join our team in Orchard . This is a part-time position offering flexibility whilst making a meaningful impact on students' academic success. As an IB & IGCSE Tutor, you will deliver high-quality instruction to students preparing for the International Baccalaureate and IGCSE examinations, helping them develop a deep understanding of subject matter and exam techniques. This role is integral to our mission of providing exceptional educational support and enabling students to achieve their academic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective tutoring sessions tailored to individual student needs across IB and IGCSE subject areas

• Develop and implement personalised learning plans aligned with curriculum requirements and examination specifications

• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement

• Prepare students for examinations through targeted revision strategies and practice questions

• Communicate regularly with students and parents regarding academic progress and areas for development

• Stay updated with current IB and IGCSE curriculum changes and examination requirements

• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and paces

• Build positive relationships with students to foster motivation and confidence in their studies

What we're looking for

• Strong subject matter expertise in one or more IB and/or IGCSE subject areas

• Proven experience tutoring IB or IGCSE students, with demonstrated success in improving examination results

• In-depth knowledge of IB and IGCSE examination formats, assessment criteria and marking schemes

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly

• Patience, empathy and the ability to motivate students of varying abilities

• Strong organisational and time management skills

• Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in a relevant subject area

• Experience working in educational settings or as a private tutor is highly desirable

• Familiarity with online tutoring platforms is a plus
