Job summary

Edulab Academy in Singapore is seeking experienced IBDP Economics tutors to join as freelance or part-time professionals. You will deliver 1-to-1 or small group lessons, guided by the IBDP Economics curriculum and Singapore-based school contexts.

The role requires at least 5 years of IBDP Economics teaching experience, fluency in English, and a track record of helping students achieve high grades. Flexible hours exist with an encouraging team and administrative support.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of IBDP Economics teaching/tutoring experience
• Familiar with syllabi at ACSI, SJI, SOTA
• In-depth knowledge of IB assessment rubrics and frameworks
• Proven success in helping students achieve Level 6-7 grades
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
• Responsible, responsive, and able to commit consistently
• Bachelor's degree in English, Literature, Education, or relevant fields preferred
• MOE-trained or IB-certified teachers highly valued
• Familiarity with IAs and EE in local IB schools

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality 1-to-1 or small group lessons for IBDP Economics (SL/HL)
• Provide targeted support for exam revision, IAs and Extended Essays
• Guide students in understanding Micro & Macro economics key concepts
• Mark and review students' essays, class practice, and other internal assessments
• Adapt teaching approach based on student needs and school-specific syllabus pacing
• Help students understand and apply IB exam rubrics and criteria
• Track student progress and provide feedback to parents if required
