Job summary

FPT Asia Pacific Pte Ltd is seeking a Workspace Technology Engineer to support, maintain and improve end-user workspace technologies across the organisation. This role works independently on day-to-day operations while contributing to design, improvement and project initiatives.

Key responsibilities include End-User Computing & Device Management, Workspace & Collaboration Technologies, Security & Compliance, and User Support.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Windows 11 and Microsoft 365.
• Administrator experience in Intune and SCCM Admin Portal (Mandatory).
• Administrator experience in Virtual environment (Azure Admin Portal) (Mandatory).
• Experience with AVD/VDI concepts and runbooks.
• Familiarity with Entra ID (Azure AD), Group Policy, and endpoint security controls.
• Basic to intermediate PowerShell scripting skills.
• 3–5 years in a Workspace role in enterprise IT.
• Exposure to audit, compliance, or regulated environments is an advantage.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and independent work capability.

Responsibilities

• End-User Computing & Device Management: provisioning, patching, upgrades, decommissioning.
• Administer endpoint platforms such as Intune and SCCM; troubleshoot issues.
• Workspace & Collaboration Technologies: support Microsoft 365 services (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint).
• Security & Compliance: implement endpoint security controls and IAM (Entra ID, MFA).
• User Support & Operations: provide Level 2/3 support and root-cause analysis.
• Documentation & Improvement: maintain runbooks and SOPs; pursue automation ideas.

Job description

Role Overview

The Workspace Technology Engineer is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and improving end-user workspace technologies within the organisation. This role is expected to work independently on day-today operations while contributing to design, improvement, and project initiatives

Key Responsibilities

End-User Computing & Device Management

• Manage device lifecycle activities including provisioning, patching, upgrades, and decommissioning
• Administer endpoint management platforms such as Microsoft Intune and/or SCCM
• Troubleshot complex endpoint and workspace-related issues

Workspace & Collaboration Technologies

• Support Microsoft 365 services including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint
• Assist with collaboration and productivity tool enhancements
• Support virtual desktop or remote access solutions (e.g. AVD, VDI) where applicable

Security & Compliance

• Implement and maintain endpoint security controls such as BitLocker, Defender, and compliance policies
• Support identity and access management using Entra ID (Azure AD), MFA, and Conditional Access
• Ensure workspace environments meet internal security, audit, and compliance requirements

User Support & Operations

• Provide Level 2 / Level 3 support for workspace-related incidents and service requests
• Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions for recurring issues
• Collaborate with Service Desk and infrastructure teams to improve support efficiency

Documentation & Continuous Improvement

• Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and operational runbooks
• Participate in technology refresh, pilot, and proof-of-concept (POC) activities
• Proactively identify opportunities (automation; AI etc.) to improve user experience, stability, and security

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

• Strong experience with Windows 11 and Microsoft 365
• Administrator experience in Intune, and SCCM Admin Portal (Mandatory)
• Administrator experience in Virtual environment (Azure Admin Portal) (Mandatory)
• e.g. Creating AVD, Runbooks & etc.
• Working knowledge of Entra ID (Azure AD), Group Policy, and endpoint security controls
• Basic to intermediate PowerShell scripting skills
• Familiarity with ITIL-based support processes 3–5 years of experience in Workspace role
• Experience supporting enterprise or corporate IT environments
• Exposure to audit, compliance, or regulated environments is an advantage

Soft Skills

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Good communication skills with both technical and non-technical users
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Team-oriented with a proactive and responsible mindset

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Microsoft certifications related to Modern Workplace or Endpoint Management
• Experience with ServiceNow or other ITSM toolsExposure to AI (Copilot Bot creation), automation, VDI, or zero-trust security models
