Job summary

CMC Markets NZ Ltd in Singapore is seeking an experienced HR professional to partner with management on people, policy and payroll. The role covers recruitment, contracts, onboarding and immigration processes, as well as employee development.

You will maintain headcount planning, produce HR reports for management and global HR, and coach staff on performance and development while ensuring compliance with local labour laws and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Degree in HR Management or business discipline required.
• At least 5 years HR experience including HRBP/HR Manager roles.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore labour law.
• Experience in employee lifecycle management including onboarding and succession planning.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with HR and management on resource requirements and employee matters.

• Prepare employment contracts, induction materials, and payroll setups.
• Manage work passes including S Pass and EP renewals for Singapore.
• Maintain payroll data and reconcile reports with external providers (ADP).
• Maintain headcount and manpower plan; support quarterly budgeting.
• Support staff development and identify training needs within the business.
• Ensure SMCR compliance and immigration/work permits in conjunction with stakeholders.
• Generate HR reports for management and global HR teams.

Job description

• - Working closely with CMC’s Human Resources team and wider management team on resource requirements and general employee matters.
• - Strong expertise in Talent Acquisition with a proven track records of attracting, hiring and retaining talent.
• - Provide a high quality and cost-effective recruitment service. This will include placing ads on eFinancials and relevant websites and corresponding with applicants in a timely and professional manner.
• - Providing services covering multiple areas of Human Resources, including employment/education training (eg. CFMAS exams), employee development, compensation & benefits including insurance administration.
• - To build and manage relationships within the business and HR colleagues globally.
• - Preparing employment contracts, induction and orientation material for new recruits. Assist with new employee documentation and set up for payroll.
• - Responsible for foreign workers’ work passes including new application and renewal of Work Permit, S Pass and EP.
• - Update and maintain employee records in Workday.
• - Responsible for managing Singapore payroll via external payroll provider. Maintain payroll information & manage payroll preparation for Singapore, by collecting, entering & reviewing data.
• - Thoroughly check payroll reports produced by ADP, to assist London office with approval & sign-off.
• - Maintain Headcount & Manpower Plan and quarterly budget.
• - Support, coach and encourage staff development.
• - Identify training and development needs within the business through job analysis, appraisal reviews and regular consultation with line in order to support skill and career development, and internal mobility.
• - Implementing a variety of developmental initiatives, action plans, programmes, and training material aligned with both individual and organisational needs.
• - Communicate promptly with internal and/or external stakeholders for any relevant HR matters.
• - Ensure the submission of HR reports and statutory returns on a timely basis.
• - Generating both regular and ad-hoc reports for Management & global HR team.
• - Providing support & advice across the whole employee life cycle, including employee development, performance management, compensation & benefits.
• - Help drive & implement strategies such as talent management and wellbeing initiatives.
• - Provide HR support to the business as and when required, including, recruitment, performance management, exit interviews, remuneration reviews etc.
• - Educating and assisting employees to use global HR systems.
• - Work in partnership with wider HR team on projects.
• - Respond to employment checking agencies, to confirm the service of past employees.
• - When dealing with all customers, clients or colleagues ensure that we provide a clear, fair and consistent high-quality service that presents a professional and positive image of CMC Markets
• - Work alongside HR & Finance, to ensure accuracy & integrity of payroll data.
• - Manage third party relationships with benefit providers, assisting with benchmarking and renewals and assist with providing benefit guidance to employees.
• - Ownership of key activities relating to SMCR and Immigration/Work permits, in conjunction with relevant stakeholders.
• - Manage responses to audit requests for HR information.
• - Ensure effective communication through leadership, peers and team.
• - To contribute to the development of a high-performance culture across all business areas
• - Take all reasonable steps to ensure appropriate confidentiality.
• - Undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required, and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility for this role.
• - Read and comply with CMC policies and procedures as they relate to your employment.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• - Degree in HR Management or a business discipline
• - At least 5 years HR experience, which includes proven experience as an Human Resources Business Partner/ HR Manager or similar role.
• - Strong local labor law knowledge of Singapore
• - Experience in Employee Lifecycle Management including onboarding, development, and succession planning
• - Excellent interpersonal skills & communication skills
