The HR Business Partner works closely with assigned departments to understand workforce needs and provide practical HR support across recruitment, onboarding and employment matters. The role serves as a key HR partner to hiring managers, ensuring timely recruitment, seamless onboarding and effective management of work pass requirements.
Key responsibilities
1. HR business partnering
- Partner with assigned departments to understand manpower needs, workforce challenges and HR requirements
- Provide practical HR advice and support to managers on recruitment, onboarding and employee matters
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and ensure timely follow up on HR matters
2. Recruitment and workforce planning
- Manage recruitment activities for assigned departments from manpower requisition to offer and appointment
- Advise hiring managers on recruitment channels, candidate availability and selection approaches
- Monitor vacancies and recruitment timelines and proactively address hiring challenges
3. Onboarding and employee experience
- Coordinate end to end onboarding to ensure new hires have a smooth and positive start
- Work with hiring managers and relevant departments to ensure pre-employment requirements are completed
- Identify opportunities to improve the recruitment and onboarding experience
4. Work pass management
- Manage application, renewal and cancellation of work passes in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Monitor work pass validity and proactively follow up on upcoming renewals and related documentation
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant work pass requirements
5. HR reporting and process improvement
- Track recruitment, onboarding and work pass metrics and provide regular updates to stakeholders
- Maintain accurate HR records and documentation for assigned departments
- Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes and improve service delivery
6. HR projects and initiatives
- Support HR initiatives relating to employee experience, talent acquisition and workforce planning
- Participate in HR projects and organisational initiatives as required
- Provide support to other HR functions and team members where required
- Support staff engagement activities
Job requirements
- Degree or diploma in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or related discipline
- 5 years of relevant recruitment or talent acquisition experience
- Experience recruiting across both clinical and corporate functions
- Healthcare or social service sector experience would be advantageous
- Good understanding of recruitment practices, sourcing channels and candidate assessment
- Familiarity with recruitment systems, job portals and applicant tracking systems
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently, manage multiple vacancies and meet recruitment timelines
- Proactive, resourceful and service oriented approach to recruitment
