Job summary

KLA is seeking a research/software engineer for the LS-SWIFT division in Singapore to design, deploy, and maintain Windows OS images and automation tooling for high-volume wafer inspection platforms. You will collaborate with hardware, software, manufacturing, and system integration teams to ensure robust deployments and reliable operation.

The role emphasizes hands-on deployment, scripting, debugging, and documentation, with opportunities to influence product readiness and engineering practices

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of computer architecture, hardware subsystems, operating systems, networking, and system-level performance characteristics.
• Proficiency in PowerShell and at least one additional scripting or programming language such as Python or Bash.
• Experience with Windows OS deployment, customization, troubleshooting, automation, and hardware/software integration.
• Demonstrated ability to independently solve complex technical problems, communicate effectively across teams, and drive projects from design through deployment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain customized Windows OS images and deployment solutions for KLA platforms.
• Develop and support PowerShell-based automation, diagnostics, and system management tools to improve deployment efficiency and system reliability.
• Drive validation, testing, and root cause analysis activities to ensure robust, maintainable, and supportable solutions.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, manufacturing, and system integration teams to resolve complex system-level issues and improve product readiness.
• Author technical documentation, participate in architecture and design reviews, and contribute to engineering best practices and mentoring.
