Job summary

KLA in Singapore seeks a seasoned mechanical systems engineer to design and integrate wafer handling solutions within the LS-SWIFT division. You will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and suppliers to ensure robust end-to-end product delivery.

You will prototype, test, validate, and optimize designs for high-volume manufacturing while supporting global teams. Travel up to 20% is expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD in Mechanical/Electrical/Physics or Mechatronics with relevant experience.
Strong prototyping, testing, and root-cause analysis capabilities.
Fluent English; ability to collaborate across global teams.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and integrate mechanical systems and wafer handling.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system architecture and ensure end-to-end delivery.
Analyze system requirements, budgets, and specifications to support modeling and decisions.
Develop prototypes, execute integration, testing, and validation activities.
Ensure designs are scalable for High Volume Manufacturing with suppliers.
Create assembly, testing, and diagnostic documentation, and train staff.
Coordinate project activities, drive alignment, and manage issues.
Provide status updates, communicate risks and mitigation plans.
Continuously identify and drive improvements in products and processes.
