Job summary

4195 Entegris Asia Pte. Ltd. seeks an IT Application Engineer specializing in R&D application support for Linux-based HPC and cloud infrastructure. You will install, deploy, and manage modeling and simulation packages and ensure secure, scalable HPC environments.

You will work with data scientists and engineers to optimize workloads, handle licensing, and automate cluster operations while keeping up with the latest cloud services and security best practices.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting modeling and simulation software environments.
• Experience with Ansys, Schrodinger, AMS and other modeling and simulation tools, FEA, CFD, DFT, and MD.
• Experience with building, deploying, and sustaining SLURM Linux based clusters.
• Exposure to multi-cloud environments (Azure, GCP, AWS).
• Experience in an Agile development environment.
• Two or more years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and related platform tools.
• Proficiency with job scheduling and resource management tools such as SLURM, PBS, or LSF.
• Knowledge of storage architectures and distributed file systems such as Lustre, GPFS, or Ceph.
• Familiarity with Google Vertex AI, MLOps, model deployment, or AI platform operations.

Responsibilities

• Install, and manage software packages that run on HPC and storage infrastructure.
• Optimize computing speeds of software by tuning HPC configurations.
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to deploy scalable modeling workloads.
• Ensure security, scalability, and reliability of HPC systems in the cloud.
• Design networking solutions for license servers (FlexLM, DSLS).
• Deploy and maintain AI and simulation workflows on cloud.
• Allocate licenses for commercial software.
• Optimize HPC cloud resources for cost-effectiveness.
• Drive innovation and stay current with cloud services and best practices.
• Provide technical leadership in cloud and HPC systems management.
• Monitor and automate Slurm cluster operations.
• Document system design and procedures.
