Job summary

Entegris, Inc. is seeking an IT Application Engineer to support R&D modeling and simulation software on Linux HPC clusters. You will install, configure, and manage software in Linux cloud infrastructure, ensuring licensing, security, and scalable performance.

You will collaborate with data scientists and engineers to deploy workloads, optimize HPC configs, and automate operations while maintaining cost efficiency and robust security practices.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting modeling and simulation software environments.
• Experience with modeling tools like Ansys, Schrodinger, AMS, CFD/DFT/MD.
• Experience with SLURM Linux clusters.
• Exposure to multi-cloud environments (Azure, GCP, AWS).
• Experience in Agile development and customer/tech support.
• Four+ years in cloud computing and application development.
• Hands-on experience with GCP and related tools.
• Knowledge of Docker and cloud-based HPC solutions.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Packer, Ansible).
• Proficiency with job scheduling tools (SLURM, PBS, LSF).
• Knowledge of Lustre/GPFS/Ceph storage and network security.

Responsibilities

• Install and manage software on HPC and storage infrastructure.
• Optimize HPC configurations for faster compute.
• Collaborate with data scientists to deploy scalable workloads.
• Ensure security, scalability, reliability of HPC in cloud.
• Design networking for license servers (FlexLM, DSLS).
• Deploy AI-enabled workflows integrating LLMs and HPC.
• License management for commercial software.
• Optimize cloud resources for cost efficiency.
• Drive cloud and HPC innovations and document procedures.
• Monitor and automate SLURM cluster operations.
