Job summary

Alphaeus Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking experienced High Performance Computing (HPC) Engineers to support enterprise HPC infrastructure. The role focuses on building and maintaining HPC clusters, parallel filesystems, and delivering reliable compute environments.

You will lead Linux administration, performance tuning, and complex troubleshooting, while automating operations, drafting documentation, and mentoring users.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of Linux/UNIX experience, preferably RHEL.
• Strong hands-on experience with HPC clusters, job schedulers and parallel filesystems.
• Experience with Slurm/PBS, Lustre/GPFS/BeeGFS and InfiniBand.
• Bash/Python scripting and configuration-management experience, such as Ansible.
• Exposure to cloud, virtualization, containers and GPU computing.
• Strong technical leadership and stakeholder communication skills.
• Experience supporting university or research computing environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement, configure and maintain HPC clusters and parallel filesystems.
• Manage Linux administration, performance tuning and complex troubleshooting.
• Support monitoring, patching, security, backup and disaster recovery.
• Automate operations and provide technical guidance, documentation and user training.
