Job summary

ONE FARRER PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced hotel housekeeping professional to supervise daily operations and support the Executive Housekeeper in quality inspections and budget management. You will ensure cleanliness, coordinate with Front Office, and train staff in SOPs, while maintaining strong communication with department heads and the General Manager.

The role involves organizing spring cleaning, rosters, appraisals, and contractor oversight to meet hotel standards and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist overseeing daily housekeeping operations.
• Schedule with Executive Housekeeper on routine quality control inspections of all housekeeping areas.
• Inspect guest and public areas on a regular basis to ensure that furnishings, facilities, and equipment are clean and in good condition; make recommendations to Executive Housekeeper accordingly regarding upkeep and safety method.
• Assist in maintaining and provide training based on Housekeeping SOP.
• Assist in managing spring cleaning schedules.
• Maintain open channels of communication with other department heads and General Manager.
• Conduct regular department meetings in the absence of Executive Housekeeper.
• Identify and ensure highest possible standards of cleanliness, maintenance, guest room supplies and amenities at a realistic cost.
• Supervise outside contractors to ensure contractual compliance.
• Assist in the control of Housekeeping procedures that provide for the health and safety of personnel and guests, such as lost and found service, key control, security and emergency procedures and environmental procedures.
• Implement assigned tasks during emergencies such as fires, power failures, and flooding.
• Act within budget limits and contact superior in case of any outstanding and/or unforeseen costs effecting hotel performance.
• Assist to ensure VIP, long-stay, and special-request rooms are prepared according to hotel standards.
• Assist to ensure that staff duty rosters are produced in accordance with business requirements.
• Assist to conduct probation and annual appraisals in line with company guidelines.
• Assist to coach, counsel, and discipline colleagues to enhance performance.
• Assist to monitor room readiness and coordinate closely with Front Office to maximize room availability.
• Conduct inventory for linen, guest supplies, cleaning chemical, uniform, operating equipment and etc.
• Assist to ensure that all auditing and reporting standards are conveyed to colleagues and adhered to.
• Assist Executive Housekeeper in the preparation and management of the department’s budget. Perform related duties and special projects assigned.
