Job summary

Hilton Hotels is seeking an Assistant Safety & Security Manager to oversee the hotel’s safety and security operations, ensuring guests, staff and property stay secure. You will develop and implement policies, lead the safety team, and coordinate with government authorities as needed.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, risk assessment, and the ability to respond calmly under pressure, while collaborating across hotel departments to maintain a safe environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in security operations, preferably supervisory.
• Understanding of security operations, fire safety procedures and emergency response.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to assess situations and respond to security incidents.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Basic computer skills for incident reporting and documentation.
• First Aid certification or recognised firefighting training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Safety & Security in daily security operations.
• Supervise security personnel and ensure coverage across the hotel.
• Organise regular security patrols of premises.
• Coordinate security manpower for events when required.
• Maintain communication with hotel departments.
• Liaise with authorities on safety matters when necessary.
• Monitor compliance with local fire safety and workplace safety requirements.
• Conduct regular security and fire safety inspections to identify risks.
• Assist in investigating security incidents and document follow-up actions.
• Coordinate with Department Heads on policies and responsibilities.
• Plan and conduct security awareness trainings for team members.
• Maintain familiarity with emergency response and safety procedures.
• Oversee key control procedures and safekeeping of hotel keys.
• Review Fire, Health and Safety Manual updates.
• Provide guidance to other departments on security matters.
• Perform other duties as assigned. Management reserves the right to amend the JD.
